Description
OBJECTIVE: We wanted to create more usable counter area around the cooking and cleaning zones. With the need for more storage add as much cabinetry as possible without overflowing the area along with lighted cabinetry to display items. Keep an island area that the owners can find a one of a kind piece to use in the future. Reflect the arts and craft style of the house. We installed Wellborn Premiere Cabinets, door style is Hanover, Maple Oyster White in keeping with all the trimmings in the rest of the house. PROBLEM: • Location of fridge • Poor appliance placement produced a small usable area and small individual unusable counter space • No counter space • Does not like microwave above cooking surface • Not a lot of storage space in cabinets • Need more storage, pantry area • Outdated finishes • Kitchen was dark • Lack of lighting SOLUTION: • Move fridge location to another wall for added counter space and to create a very cook friendly space • Added lighted cabinets for display items • Add pantry storage to adjacent wall for a much needed storage space • Added Micro drawer • Appliance garage to counter along with stacked cabinets to ceiling for maximum storage • More uninterrupted counter space between sink and range • Left open space in center of kitchen with an outlet in the floor for future one of a kind island • Updated the finishes to compliment the counter and new hand painted wood floor • New under cabinet, over sink lights and recessed cans for better lighting • Wellborn Premiere Cabinets in Hanover style with Oyster White finish brighten up the space while matching the style of the house.
